Oh my goodness gracious this elopement in Sequoia National Park in California had EVERYTHING!!!
Kissing under giant sequoia branches, towering redwoods, a light sprinkle of rain in a fern covered meadow, amazing sunbeams, the most glorious pink sunset and a clear night sky with a gorgeous crescent moon positioned right above the couple during their first dance.... SERIOUSLY, elopements like this happen once in a lifetime!!
Heaven and Austen are such an adventurous couple and they were such a joy to work with. We hiked around the base of Moro Rock taking pictures of the Parker Grove (a lovely stand of giant sequoias) before heading to another granite dome where the couple said their vows - beautiful Beetle Rock!
Vows were read during a glorious sunset and vow books were tucked away into a time capsule, and then the couple danced as the sky lit up with a crimson glow. The couple took a twilight walk into the woods that flank Beetle Rock, and then it was back to the dome, this time under a sea of stars peeking out with a view of the High Sierras and the valley below.
IT. WAS. AMAZING.
It was such a pleasure and an honor to capture this elopement... it was truly magical! Heaven and Austen, you two are amazing. (Thank you for letting me keep those lanterns, I love them so much it's ridiculous, lol!) Congrats again!! You two are THE BEST!!
